Breakfast & Lunch Program

Meals Update for 2022-2023 School Year

We have received confirmation from Great Hearts Texas that the COVID-related program that allowed all our students to receive free breakfast and lunch this year is coming to an end. For next school year, please plan to once again send your child to school with lunch or pay for meals using MealTime. You can also apply for financial assistance with meals. Visit the Financial Assistance Page for details.

Great Hearts Arlington partners with Preferred Meals for the Breakfast and Lunch program. For the 21-22 school year, Great Hearts Arlington will be offering a healthy breakfast and lunch every school day to all students at no cost! (Second meals and a la carte milk will be charged to your child’s MealTime account as normal.)

While no further action is required from you to participate, we highly encourage you to fill out the application for Free and Reduced Meals for other discounts and benefits to our school if you think you might be eligible. Please visit Financial Assistance Page for details on how to apply.

A La Carte: Milk is available to all students a la carte for $0.75. Students will receive one carton of milk with their lunch, but if they would like another a la carte, they will be charged.

Menus

While we do our very best to serve every student what has been published on the menu, we cannot guarantee that the planned items will always be available. Click below to access and print current breakfast and lunch menus for both campuses.

You can also find the menus by visiting preferredmealsmenu.com.

Dietary Restrictions

We understand that many students may have dietary restrictions for reasons of health or conscience. Full ingredient information is listed on the breakfast and lunch menus available at preferredmealsmenu.com. While we cannot guarantee that the items listed are what will be available to serve, Preferred Meals does their very best to serve students what was published on the menu. Families who have specific dietary needs are responsible for consulting the menu each day and helping their children understand whether or not they should get lunch that day.

Lunch Accounts and Balances

While all students are eligible to receive one free breakfast and lunch each day, a la carte milk and second meals are still charged at full price. If your child plans on purchasing a la carte milk or a second meal, it is important to make sure that your child’s lunch account maintains a positive balance so that there is no disruption to his/her meal service. See our Negative Balance Policy for more details. You may add funds to your child’s account by setting up an account at MyMealTime.com and paying online. To register, you will need your child’s MealTime ID. To request your child’s ID, please email info@greatheartsarlington.org. The MyMealTime.com website will allow you to review purchases and balances as well. You may also send cash or check to the front desk.
